Layered Investigation ~ Aristotle Sinclair

At night the owl’s search is active, awake
connected to the oscillating
neck of mirrored study.
The owl asks the bodies of night:
Why do men choose this time to collect
crime’s of selfish desire, and among
this philosophy of self-sufficient paradigms,
where do the tragedies hide when
their fear of retribution echoes
over subsequent darkness more fantastic
than their disappointed shadow?

Aristotle lives in California and has been writing poetry for a short time. He has recently had worked accepted for publication on Writers' Bloc and the Catalonian Review.
